Today, T&M USA President Mike Mansfield released the following statement in the aftermath of the tragic shooting inside a New York City office building Monday night:
“On Monday, our New York City community endured a heartbreaking act of violence that took the lives of four individuals: NYPD Officer Didarul Islam, Blackstone Executive Wesley LePatner, Security Guard Aland Etienne, and Rudin Management Associate Julia Hyman. The events unfolded just three blocks from T&M USA’s headquarters in Midtown, deeply shaking the community we are proud to call home.
We are devastated by this loss, and our hearts are with the families and loved ones of the victims, as well as those mourning in the aftermath of this senseless tragedy. The pain reverberates throughout our city and within our firm.
We are deeply grateful to the first responders whose swift actions likely prevented even further loss. Their courage in the face of danger reflects the very best of our city.
As a company rooted in New York, T&M USA stands in solidarity with our neighbors, our public servants, and everyone affected in this time of sorrow.
